Polylactic Acid (PLA) Stockinette

Polylactic Acid is a bioactive substance derived from plants like corn, cassava etc. From plants sugar is extracted from starch and then lactic acid is produced. Polymerisation of lactic acid yields the polymer Polylactic Acid (PLA).

PLA Stockinette will not pollute the environment. Production of carbon dioxide during degrading is much less than cotton.  PLA Stockinette with its environmental protective, bacteria suppressing property and being a natural product is becoming a more popular material in packaging.
